Okay, so here’s the thing...

After reading Ify’s post on Chidinma, i was curious, so yeah, i saw the video, and i was like......” okayyy, so what’s all the fuss about?”

They said it was a sextape na, abi...that didn’t look like shiii to me...abi i downloaded the wrong video ni? Ehn, yes, i downloaded it, oya start judging me too...

Dont gerrit twisted o, that video was messed up, i mean, if you’re going to do a sextape, do one that will even arouse us small na, lol.

So her kini  got leaked, and the internet caught fire, as if that’s the first time anybody would do stuff like that. As far as i’m concerned, the only difference between her and you people is that you people don’t record what you do. Most of you do worse things. 


Shay all of you are shouting up and down now? Trust me, the craziest sextape would be displayed in HD, on judgement day, that’s when we’ll see the shiii you people do on your own, in the dark.

In case you don’t know, all of us are in the same category of sinners. And if the rapture happens now, you would be surprised that Chidinma would go to heaven. While some of you would be gisting lucifer about her sextape. Rubbish!

If i see her right now, i would scold her. Not because she did something bad, nahh, not because she recorded it, nope, not because it leaked, negative....but because she denied it. And that’s the mistake most of us make.

We’re so bent on impressing the world, we don’t take responsibility for our bullshit. We don’t realise, that our shiii may be the catalyst to our success. So we deny who we are, just so that some other people who are actually worse than we are, may see us in a good light.

Life’s short, shorter than we want to admit...why spend the little time on this earth in pretense? Oppressing our inner selves for nothing....all in the name of what? I would have understood, if we were still in the days of our ancestors, when the society flares up at the sight of any deviance in the norm...those days are gone, the environment gobbles up shiiii like manure. In fact, people have started living on their bullshit.

Isn’t that the reason you and i know bobrisky? Shiiii, that nigga is the most annoying piece of crap i’ve ever seen. But hey, i know him, you know him, and me wey normal, abeg, who sabi me? You wey holy pass, who sabi you? 

Bobrisky (that’s a dumb name, by the way) is in the spotlight, and whether you like it or not, he will never go unnoticed if he walks into a mall...(inyama).

I’m not saying you should go and do something stupid o, i’m saying, if you’re a stupid person, own it. If you’r e a nympho, you gotta own that *in reek’s voice*....if you did something wrong, OWN THAT SHIIIII!!!...especially if you enjoyed it..

It would surprise you, the level of respect,recognition and satisfaction you’d enjoy after that. Dont let the society or anybody have a leverage on you. I’ve done a lot of shiiii in my life ehn, in fact, i still do a lotta shiii. I’m sure you do too. We’re human beings, we have the right to remain stupid.

Nobody knew this, but there’s a reason the title “son of a pastor” stuck on my personality. My dad’s a pastor, i respect him a lot (trust me, i had a choice), i wish i could be as pious as he is, but it’s hard. I’m still trying, everyday, but there are levels i havent got to. 

People who watched me growing up saw me do things that even so called bad pikins couldn’t do and they usually ended their reprimands with the cliche phrase “....and your father is a pastor”.

It got to a level, i knew the only way to deliver myself from them was to be all up in their faces. So whenever i did something crazy, i’d refer to it in my next song (yeah, i write songs too...and i’m pretty dope, i just never blow ni...lol), and end the song with a sinister-sounding “son-of-a-pastor”.

They would hear the song and shake their heads and then be like “only God can save this nigga...”. now that, is the point you need to get to. 

So like i said earlier, be who you are, and enjoy it. If you’re gay, be gay, i may kill you, but don’t worry, just be yourself, at least you wouldn’t die being somebody you’re not. 

If your sextape leaks, put an hashtag on that shiii and be like #imWayBetterAtThisNow....If you dont know book, flaunt what you know. 

It’s only when you’re trying to impress people that you give their judgements power. Good boy or bad girl, they’ll will judge you either way, so why not just do your thing???

Some of you are porn addicts (i used to be too), some of you are sextape addicts (and that’s why you even saw chidinma's video in the first place...), some of you are sleeping with your boyfriend’s friend, and neighbor,shiiii what am i saying? Some of you are sleeping with your pastors...you wee now gaan be leading praise and worship on Sunday,  youre now yarning dust because you never cast....iranu

Bottomline, there are two things you can do to enjoy your life to the fullest. Its either you stop the crazy thing you’re doing (if you're ashamed of it), or you own it, completely, without remorse.

Don’t go about pointing at the freckle of dust in someone else’s eye when there’s a log of wood in yours.
