LAYMAN'S MUSIC REVIEW OF ''Olamide's Orobo, Young M.A's OOOUUU and Kcee ft Tekno's Tender"

Olamide - Orobo (prod. Young John)
Olamide's "Orobo"
When I heard Olamide's new song "Orobo" for the first time, I stopped after 20secs! It was that horrible. How should I start?

Beat - First of all the beat was sub-par, Young John the wicked producer wasn't so wicked on this, he could do better.

Lyrics - My God! The lyrics were typical Olamide. I believe he could do better with his lyrical content but then again Nigerians love dumb downed lyrics so who are we to protest?

Delivery - The Delivery was just there. Can we talk about the panda cover he did at the end? Unnecessary to be honest but funny.

Overall I'll give this song a 2/5 I expected more from Olamide but I guess "Orobo" is a song that will grow on you after a while.

Young M.A - OOOUUU

If you haven't heard arguably the biggest hip hop song of the summer, you've been sleeping on a long thing. I agree I also slept on it until a couple weeks back when I decided to see what the fuss was bout. Young M.A's OOOUUU is a Jam! The Female queer MC from brooklyn came through.

BEAT - The Beat was 1Hunnid! A typical brooklyn beat reminiscent of Bobby Shmurda's "Hot-Boy" who is also from brooklyn if I might add

DELIVERY - Young M.A's delivery on this beat was laid back with a hint of aggression! Made for an exhilarating ear-gasm

LYRICS - Young M.A came correct on the lyrics! Every line was dope! Lyrical content was evident from the beginning. She being a queer rapper and talking bout hoes and dike b***ches made it more weird and exciting

Stand out line - "You call her Stephanie, you call her Headphineeee"

KCee - Tender ft "Alhaji" Tekno

After Kcee's horrible performance on We are the World african version, I've dumped him in the bin. Literally! But when I saw the song on my download site and saw it featured Alhaji Tekno I had to give it a listen.

BEAT - Mystro did everything right on the beat, The percussion was very groovy and the bassline was on point not to forget the Brass instruments which gave it that afro-highlife feel.

Delivery - With the form in which Tekno is in at the moment, anything he touches turns to Gold. And his imprint was all over the delivery of this song from start to finish. Kcee just followed tekno's lead on this.

Lyrics - Typical Nigerian Lyrics, Typical Tekno, Typical Kcee, nothing too fantastic.

Overall this is a 3.5/5 jam!
