Title: Y’all feminists in the house c’mon shout Halleluya!

See eehn, I don’t get it when a typical Naija girl joins the likes of Beyonce and co. and be singing “we run the world”.
As in, how? Run which world? Mtcheew.
That’s how some girls will be making noise up and down in the name of fighting for equal rights with men in the scheme of things. Okay, sorry, pardon me, ‘noise making’ may not be the right word. But along the line, you will get to understand my point.
Of recent, there seem to be much talk about this feminism thing. Everybody is now forming feminist. A friend once told me she wants to be a feminist in the future. As in, practice feminism as a profession. Oh laaawd! Whatever she meant shaa, but that’s how bad it is.
But hei, oh yee feminists, I’ve got a strong word for you:
Stop depreciating your value in the name of fighting for equal rights. Fighters, I see una.
You see, you need to understand that you(I mean ladies) already have a special place in the society, especially in respective homes. Trust me, a prosperous home is the reflection of the woman’s wisdom. I am sure you know that better than I do. So your seeming ‘nagging’ about having your rightful place in the society actually lowers your worth.
And funny enough, if I may ask: Of what use is your feminism brouhaha when the other way round, your attitude, actions and inactions make mockery of the whole thing.
See what I mean: You and I know that a typical Nigerian girl – as in, born and breed in Naija – believes her man gotta provide almost every goddamn thing in the relationship. I hear some girls say stuff like, ‘you don’t expect me to take my man out’, ‘he is the guy so it is his duty to provide for me’, ‘that guy is stingy, just to buy me common iphone6, he can’t’ and a whole bunch of other crap.
.
Give me some break jaree!
.
My dear lady feminist, on behalf of the government of the United States, I wish to bring to your notice that such mentality (as aforementioned) is the exact reason why you should shut the f*ck up and  start appreciating yourself for who you are.
.
If you like, cite the likes of Oprah, Beyonce, or even Chimamanda as your examples to personify feminism. Have it at the back of your mind that these fellows worked for all they’ve got today.
.
As in, them be better hustlers O!
.
Even Beyonce herself once frowned at the way most girls view themselves. Listen to what she has got to say about it: “we need to reshape our own perception of how we view ourselves. We have to step up as women….”
.
You see, so they didn’t sit their ass one place and present a case to God on why he will consider scraping Ephesians 5:23 that states categorically that the man is the head of the wife.
.
Stay there and be deluding yourself and be dancing to Beyonce’s All the single ladies”. Nonsense!
